Blueberry Heaven

My anthocyanin and overall antioxidant intake has been excellent during my visit to Indiana- as I have been consuming large amounts of blueberries!

Check this photo out for abundance!! blueberries and vanilla icecream (at Prof Weaver's house Thurs night!).

Today for the first time I got to visit a 'pick your own' blueberry farm
Here are pictures of myself, Sophy and Prof Connie Weaver in picking action. The farm is owned by the Camp Calcium director- Berdine Martin and her husband.

We picked around 9 pounds in 40 minutes- and paid only $1.8AUD per POUND.....oh my goodness!! compare that to Perth prices!

Can't think who will be most excited by this picture- but I am thinking maybe Siobhan?

and for the first time- I have been eating Blueberries with real taste and tang!

It reminds me how much I enjoyed that time with Connie and Berdine in 2002.

Grant doesn't have a clue about blueberry prices in Perth. How much would they normally cost to get in Australia???

Yes, you're right - I'm pretty excited looking at all these blueberries. Could you eat as you picked? Did you walk out of there with blue hands and blue face? I'll have to wait til you're back to hear as at present you'll probably be in transit in Singers. see you soon.

Blueberries can cost as much as $3.99 per 100g fresh here....

we worked out the amount we picked at Berdines for $15US was worth at least $100 or more in Austrlia (more really because they aren't that quatlity or taste...)
