My new favourite picture book- and ideal gift while in the US!

I first read this book (recommended for children 3-7- but I think they have got that range a bit wrong!) 3 weeks ago and it made me LOL so hard tears came to my eyes.

Here is a brief synopsis of its contents

Page 1
Monday

Morning: Slept.
Afternoon: Slept.
Evening: Ate.
Scratched.
Night: Ate.

Comment on book: A typical day. Don't be fooled. This wombat leads a very busy and demanding life. She wrestles unknown creatures, runs her own digging business, and most difficult of all – trains her humans. She teaches them when she would like carrots, when she would like oats and when she would like both at the same time. But these humans are slow learners.

Find out how one wombat – between scratching, sleeping and eating – manages to fit the difficult job of training humans into her busy schedule.
But only reading the book with the incredible pictures will give the full effect.
In Australia- I saw it in the National Geographic Shop- but am sure is in most bookstores- here in Lafayette I have just bought it from Borders.

I am giving it as a gift tommorow to a special someone who has already received the canned wombat (canned SOFT TOY wombat) as a gift.....A wombat duo gift pack!

Tip: If you want to know more about the book- look it up on Amazon they let you read several pages...

Sorry still thwarted in putting in hyperlinks (Argggh!)
